Served 20 years as the EVP/ COO, for Paratransit Services, providing Non-Emergency Medical Transportation on the Kitsap Peninsula and managing transit systems throughout our region. I oversee 31 budgets totaling $38 Million and provide strategic planning and leadership oversight for the company.
Community Service:
My volunteerism is rooted in my faith and family upbringing. I have coordinated purchasing/ filling bags of food for hungry Kitsap kids, sponsored award ceremonies for Military/First Responders, led Rotary community fund raising to raise funds to reinvest in community and for 10 years, led Divorce/Grief Recovery groups.
Statement:
My top priority as Fire Commissioner will be to connect with and represent the interests of the citizens within the district, stewarding tax dollars to protect life and property. I will serve with compassion, fiscal accountability, and provide leadership characterized by integrity and respect. I am committed to continual improvement in the areas of fire and emergency medical services, while supporting community education and emergency preparedness.
The Firefighters of IAFF Local 437 enthusiastically endorse me as Fire Commissioner. My service with CKFR includes serving on the Citizens Advisory Committee since 2021, the EMS Levy Renewal Committee 2021, the Lift the Levy Lid Committee 2024 and on the interview panel for CKFR Fire Chief Christian.
As managers of transit systems, we engage with Offices of Emergency Services disaster response preparation and assist with fire evacuations. Our leaders are certified in National Incident Management Systems and have received training by FEMA on mass casualty event response.
I bring a unique set of fiscally accountable and executive leadership skills and with my training and experience, am well-qualified for the CKFR Commissioner position.
