A Message from CKFR Commissioner Candidate Christie Scheffer:

Dear Friends and Supporters,

I would like to formally announce that I am running for CKFR Commissioner (Position 4), this November and would very much appreciate your support.

It has been my honor to serve the Citizens of Kitsap County on the Citizen’s Advisory Board for CKFR since 2021 and participate in supporting the EMS Levy and Lift the Lid Levy to insure proper funding for improving safety and response time, critical services and infrastructure improvements.

We have seen a tremendous amount of improvements since the implementation of CKFR Strategic Plan 2023-2027. The District has completed 78% of the strategic plan to date. I am committed to working together to complete the goals in the current Strategic Plan and begin developing, with input from various stakeholders, CKFR’s vision, mission, and goals for the future.

As we move forward in these next six years, my overarching goals are to ensure fiscal accountability while continuing to keep our community one of the safest in the state. To help guide CKFR in its mission to serve the community, adapt to changing circumstances, and continuously improve its services and to ensure our services and staffing levels meet the growing population in Kitsap County.

My pledge again is to offer to the voters one that will listen, empathize and make justifiable sound decisions. Again, I would be honored to have your vote this November.
